Magpie offered a service whereby using photos, their artists would produce a portrait model of the customer’s horse or pony. This would have been a popular service, with many children wanting their own pony, or a beloved riding school pony as a model to play with.
This service was understandably more costly, taking into consideration the amount of time required to produce them. Usually two portraits were produced and the buyer was able to choose which one was preferred, and often chose to buy both. As an alternative for just an extra couple of pounds, they also provided a service to copy white markings on the legs and face on a regular run models.
If you are able to provide photos of your Portrait models or have information about them to contribute we would love to hear from you. Please contact us here.
